Your image is often your first impression. Here's how to plan a brand shoot that builds trust and gives you content for months.
People decide whether to trust you in seconds, and they usually decide with their eyes first. Strong brand photography makes that decision easy — it shows who you are, what you do and how it feels to work with you.
Decide what the images need to do
Before the shoot, write down where the photos will live: your website, LinkedIn, social posts, press kits, a book cover. Each use needs different crops and moods, and knowing them in advance lets us plan wide, tight and vertical frames.
Mix portraits with story
A good brand set isn't only headshots. Include working shots, details of your tools or product, and a few candid moments. Together they tell a story a single portrait can't.
Keep it consistent
Choose a small palette of colours that suit you and your brand, and stick to it across outfits and backdrops. Consistency is what makes a feed or website feel professional rather than random.
Shoot once, use for months
Plan a longer session with several outfits and setups so you leave with enough variety to keep your content fresh well beyond launch week.
